ARTIST STATEMENT

Sibylle Werner comes from a diverse Cultural Background and upbringing. Sibylle was blessed to have parents who developed their own creative talents to which Sibylle was exposed as a young girl. It was clear from an early age that Sibylle had creative instincts which needed to be explored. Sibylle is mainly self taught.

Living in Australia, South Africa, Germany and Spain, her powerful visual brain recorded many memories, intertwined with a mixture of the Metaphysical and Spiritual Journey that she has chosen for her period of life on this earth dimension, is what transpires in her works.

When painting Sibylle is blissfully unaware of her immediate surroundings and it is through her heart and from Source/Universe that the paint takes on a Journey of its own. Sibylle observes at intervals the progression of the painting, often staring at it for hours, days even, and when the “time” is right she continues until the painting is complete. This process can take days, weeks and months, depending on the size of the canvas being worked on. She is mainly a large format painter.

Sibylle worked as a Photographer in the German TV and Cinema Industry, travelling the world taking Photograph. Retiring from the Industry, the passion has returned now in the Digital world which she is now exploring.

The natural environment is of vital importance in Sibylle’s life, living in Sunshine Beach/Noosa Queensland, which is now one of the worlds Biospheres. The region's natural and pristine beauty, the ocean and the energy are the forces that have guided Sibylle into her painting realm. To be one with nature is her belief.

Her body of works are very powerful; some are serene, and hang in collections in various countries around the globe from Germany, Denmark, Spain, Canada and Australia wide.

Sibylle’s paintings are suited to the Corporate World, Hotels and without a doubt private homes.
